Privacy Policy

Operated by 1click2open · Effective 23 June 2026

This Privacy Policy is a template prepared for 1click2open and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before you rely on it.

This Privacy Policy explains how 1click2open ("Proofwright", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you use proofwright.eu and the Proofwright services (the "Service"). We are the data controller for this processing.

1. Data we collect

  • Early-access sign-ups: your email address and the page you signed up from.
  • Contact enquiries: your name, company, email, approximate number of sites and your message.
  • Purchases: orders are processed by PayPal. We receive the order identifier, status, amount and payer email — we do not receive or store your full card details.
  • Licences & activations: licence keys, the site URLs and instance identifiers where the software is activated, and seat usage.
  • Technical data: IP address, user-agent and request logs, processed by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
  • Cookies & local storage: a strictly-necessary session cookie for the admin console, and local storage for your theme preference. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
  • To provide and secure the Service, issue licences and process activations — performance of a contract and our legitimate interests.
  • To respond to your enquiries and send service messages — legitimate interests and contract.
  • To take payment — contract, via PayPal.
  • To keep records and meet tax and accounting duties — legal obligation.
  • To send early-access or marketing updates where you opted in — consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Sharing

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service: PayPal (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting, CDN and database). They process data under their own terms and our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed: sign-up and marketing data until you withdraw or after a period of inactivity; order and licence records for the period required by tax and accounting law; contact enquiries for as long as needed to handle your request and a reasonable period afterwards.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or erasure of your data; restrict or object to processing; request portability; and withdraw consent. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact connect@proofwright.eu.

7. Security

We protect data with measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/HSTS), hashed and salted admin credentials, access controls and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the authorities of a qualifying breach as required by law.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children and is intended for business users aged 16 or over.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.

10. Contact

For any privacy question or request, contact 1click2open at connect@proofwright.eu.
